AstroGuider v 3.10

In case it helps... There was an update for Nebulosity that improved ASI for me. It now asks which ASI camera it is to use when both the 1600 and 224 are connected. - (1.12.2) Tweak to Star Mass tolerance. Hopefully, it's less prone to rejecting things now. You can disable it entirely (promise!) by setting it to 1.0. Also, it will only reject two frames in a row because of this. PS: AstroDSLR is a very good program, but would be much better if it could be connected to PHD2. Posted 07 May 2016 - 11:20 AM Fellow MacBook Pro user here. The question you posed was, "How do I get started guiding using a Mac?" You already own a SSAG and CGEM. We don't know the identity of your main camera or your scopes. - All updates from pre-releases 1.11.1-1.11.3

indiprop - (1.12.1) "Max RA Duration" parameter added to Advanced menu(default is 1000 ms). Can be used to cap the RA duration during guiding. So what do I need to do in order to get guiding on my Mac? I haven't been able to uncover any drivers for the CGEM for OSX and I'm not sure how I'd be connecting that up with PHD2 either. Should I use a Windows VM? I've got a Windows 7 instance installed right now on VirtualBox, but I'm not sure how that would work when you've got USB stuff plugged into the Mac and the drivers installed on Windows. It's just really confusing to me. Install the latest macOS that was installed on your Mac. Available for Windows, Mac, and Linux Posted 09 April 2017 - 12:09 PM I found this to be the case as well, although it depended on the equipment. For instance, for me at least, using my SX-814 - the program could not gain control of the filter wheel when the camera, FW and guide camera were all plugged into a stand-alone powered USB hub and then to a 50ft active USB cable. But, there is no problem when I plug the filter wheel and guide camera into the onboard USB hub on the camera and then run a 50ft active cable to the house. I was also able to control my Moonlite stepper motor and CGEM mount with both going into a powered USB hub and then a single cable to the computer just fine. The morale of the story?: Sometime a USB hub may work, and sometimes not. On the guider device control panel placed on the right side of the AstroGuider main window you get to set the Dec guiding mode (north and south, south only, north only, or disabled), the calibration step value, and the RA or Dec aggressivity, minimum error, and maximum pulse values.
